CHILDREN OF GAZA
Child,
you understand what Life is
with an insatiable thirst for a sip of water…
Pain is hidden in your eyes, because
there’s no mother and home,
no bread and kind word…
And there’s no sky above you, but a cruel hell –
more terrifying than a mad one-eyed pirate…
You recognize Life
from bitter encounters with death…
And you breathe air soaked in hatred.
You want to escape, but there’s no door…
People,
have mercy,
mercy for the children of Gaza!
THE LAST WORD
How to make us happy again with shining miracles
and the fabulously tall Burj Khalifa tower,
cut the umbilical cord above the world,
as soon as the bird of prey Griff wakes up?
As soon as the tiny suns set sadly
without love and care, in a cruel contagion,
left for long days without bread and water –
children in the troubled Gaza Strip…
No, nothing will be like that anymore,
as before, it happened by chance!
You, World, are responsible for your children
and your conscience is in front of a mirror!
We are billions, infinitely many
and our will is so clear!
Let us be united, for God’s sake,
and our word will be last!
