Friendship Song
Dedicated to all my friends –
(those who are here and those who have reached the other side)
Think of the days we together passed,
Laughing and loitering not a day lost
Shared both bright and gloomy days,
Caring and helping each other in grace.
Remember the day we went our own ways,
Into the world of race and chase?
At first we would call each other each day,
Then it was once in a while during holidays.
Lost in the maddening crowd we forgot,
How we would gossip about whatever was spicy and hot.
Laugh at silly little things of this and that,
The endless times together we had spent.
We used to help each other on rainy days,
Dance in bliss if we won in anyway.
Days, months and years dragged past,
But we let our friendships last.
Forgive me if I have made any mistakes,
For in friendship there is no give and take
Loving and sacrificing that is all what it means,
Forever in our lives when friends do reign.
No goodbyes to be said,
We on earth have to live with its own pace.
Sooner or later we all would leave,
This earthly world is just a momentary inn.
I’ll wait for you on the other side,
With pride and hands extended wide.
Don’t cry my friend
When I am long gone,
Smile and sing our friendship song:
Thank you my friend for all your love and care,
I will miss you when I am not here
Our sweetest memories will always be there,
To make you smile and send me a prayer.
True Friend’s Worth
Sometimes it helps to be rejected,
Let’s you know your worth, the other’s too.
People are sometimes really fake,
It’s a world of give and take.
Sometimes it’s difficult to oblige,
It may hurt the other’s pride.
Sometimes it truly hurts,
When someone totally breaks your trust;
Opinions of others must honestly be judged.
Always know a true friend’s worth.
