Promise

Wr.&TR. By Christine Peiying Chen

You are–
A cloud that cannot rain,
A star that cannot fall, a moon that cannot set
A snowflake that cannot come down, a melody that cannot wander away–
And a verse lingering on the title page.

Even if the pills you have to take as much as snow,
The pain is as sharp as the white spot

You mustn’t fall, before I arrive
As you have promised me

Please lower your head to sniff the roses, and intone my verses–
You, a trapped tiger resting in plain momentarily, be patient:
I am already on my way.

If possible
Wr.&TR. By Christine Pei Ying Chen

Your letter comes
At the turn of autumn and winter, I  am meditating on the snow of the southern mountain
Time ruminates on time, mandala blossoms
I am already slightly intoxicated by his white poison.

The early winter chill makes the leaves colorful: red-orange-yellow-green-cyan-blue-purple
The Wind blows pieces fly.
I see, time chews
Fragments fall to the ground, a beautiful scattered mess– A mingling, faint pain.

“Come out,” you say
Go to a place where sunlight and seawater give birth to tides, simple and plain
Drink honey pomelo tea, decipher and cleanse the liver
Look at the bright flowers and plants.

“Alright……” I reply
Please allow me a moment Those verses that have become spirits
Have grown wings, transformed into man’s form, kissed my lips in dream
Please allow me to catch them, one by one, seal them in a jar
–If it’s possible

My love
Wr.&Tr. By Christine Peiying Chen

I want–
The shining light in your eyes
The unquenchable fire in your heart
The foolish persistence of taking only a sip from the boundless waters
The exquisite beauty of a single plum blossom among the picturesque scenery
The miracle of a stone blossoming into a flower

Yes, even if the rain doesn’t come, the wind doesn’t blow, and I don’t come
You’ll still be there
Things can change, stars can move, peach blossoms and plum blossoms bloom season after season
Heavy snow can block mountains, press borders, and bury stuff deep
There is something that exists with you, along with the pounding of your heart

When the fragrance overflows from the sealed jar, spirits wander everywhere
The bright fire turns into a dim glow, this love is no longer dependent on the passing of time
I come, my love, stepping on the flowing clouds
Holding a lotus flower in my hand
