Fragment of the novel in verse “Eugene Kollegin 3”
Our world is a struggle of ideologies.
From century to century, from year to year,
the struggle of the politicians continues.
Nations suffer as a result!
What should the Russian people pay?
Why are athletes and poets sprayed
with paint – black?
Why do my people suffer?
Don’t call us nazis
we are pure people of heart and soul!
We are not a bellicose people,
Holy faith _is our foundation.
Fascism is impossible in Russia.
We are good-natured, understand it,
we are orthodox, we are from God,
and that means that we are for the world!
