FEAR OF JUDGMENT: MY INNER STRUGGLE
I’ve long been held captive by the fear of what others might say. Every decision, every action, & every word. I couldn’t be analysed, by myself, but by the anticipated gaze of others.
“Am I right or wrong?” echoes in my mind,
As I weigh each choice, lost in the grind.
Will they approve? Will they understand?
The constant doubt, a heavy burden to hand.
My voice, a whisper, hesitant to share,
My thoughts, concealed, hidden with care.
Fear of judgement, a shackling chain,
Silencing my truth, causing inner pain.
But then, I found solace in peaceful practices
Meditation’s calm, a soothing balm,
Yoga’s balance, a harmonious psalm.
Music’s melodies, a healing stream,
Helping me break free from the fear’s dark dream.
With each breath, I began to let go,
Embracing self-acceptance, slowly and slowly
My voice grew stronger, my words more clear,
As I learned to trust myself, year by year.
I realised:
– My worth isn’t defined by others’ views,
– My decisions, mine to make, mine to choose.
– My unique path, not for others to judge,
– My authenticity, my greatest pledge.
The journey continues, with ups and downs,
But I face my fears, with newfound crowns.
_Lessons Learned:_
– Self-acceptance is key to inner peace,
– Fear less, focus on your inner release.
– Mindfulness helps silence the outer noise,
– Embrace your truth, let your voice rejoice.
SOMEONE’S BETTER
Gone are the grappled troubles
Your presence razes all my rubbles.
You’ve made me see the good though seem bad
But now, you’re deserting me, oh so sad!
You surely mean a lot to me
Yet you still seem to disagree.
You think everything is insufficient.
And life with me is deficient.
You’d better find a love for you is perfect
Surely when it comes, you’ll always see the defect.
For you are the key to its imperfection
And this often leads to utter disconnection.
It’s always best to let you go
For even if I love you so
You don’t deserve my time and care.
Someone’s better somewhere out there.
FAREWELL
I’ve got to say “farewell”
For now, I’m happy to tell.
This is my ultimate goodbye.
Not a single drop of tear to cry.
Farewell to you, the old “me!”
Elated like winning a prix.
Call of a grandeur awakening,
To a better self, I am becoming.
Life of anxieties and melancholy,
Recreated into joy and serenity.
Life of fear and loneliness,
Now filled with love and happiness.
Drowned into the waters of desperation,
Now facing the beauty with sheer admiration.
It is my time to shine and rejoice
For in my life, this is my best choice!
Farewell to the self of my yesterdays,
Know the new me without overlays.
See the most beautiful transformation,
Richly deserving great felicitation.
Leaving behind cynicism, be shunned
As the days roll by and quickly spun
It’s a day to wear my heart on my sleeve,
I am at my best, trust and believe!
