I’m working on a new book of translations and a new novel with the tentative title “Look into the Abyss”
Please share your thoughts about the future of literature. I’m not a pessimist about life and literature, but in particular. I’m against the eternal moaning like “there is no literature, poetry is dead, there are only graphomaniacs around”. Although we must admit for the sake of the future in literature that an army of the graphomaniacs has spread like weeds in an open field. There is no censorship, that’s bad. One of my most talented poet friends, Marin Angel Lazarov, gave an instructive quote from the classic of word literature I. A. Bunin: He who is called a poet must be felt a person rare in mind, taste, aspirations, etc. Only in this case I can listen to his intimacy, love, and so on”. So, the future of literature lies in the personalities of talented writers and poets.
When you start writing? Professionally I began to write in the 80s-90s, visiting a literary association led by famous writers and poets at the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union. I went through a rigorous school of honing my literary skills, writing in Russian, mainly.
The Good and the Bad. Who is winning in nowadays? Unfortunately, the Bad wins. Our generation is witnessing disgusting global events, brutal wars that mercilessly take away hundreds, thousands, or even more innocent lives, destroying families, leaving small children orphans, homeless, hungry, suffering from the cold. It’s like the world has gone crasy. The devil rules the world. How I would like us together to put pressure on the lever of wars and stop the tyranny…
How many books have you written? And where can we find your books? Collection of poems and prose “ Earthly Valley” (in Russian)
-the novel ”Doctor Yara or Confessions of gynecologist” (in Russian)
-collection of short stories “Tales of a women business” (in Russian)
After translation into English these works can be presented to a wide English speaking readership.
I’m working on a new book of translations and a new novel with the tentative title “Look into the Abyss”. A huge amount of accumulated literary material in English, Azerbaijani Turkhish, Russian is awaiting publication. I hope to implement it in my homeland.
The E-book or Hardcover book. What will be in the future? I’m sure, the future belongs to E-book
A wish for 2025. It is necessary, at least occasionally, to send a “refrigerator” full of good deeds there, to heaven, so that it counts
A phrase from your book Sometimes fear works wonders-fear of God, fear of being punished for evil done. The source of fear is Paradise.
