A matter of choice
Author’s works in our contemporaries – prose, poetry, all types of fine arts are often bypassed. They hardly get as much attention as flashy clips, loud soundtracks, or defiant screams. (*We are talking about unknown authors)
However, every year it donates new authors, each day which is given a new work. However, presenting these manuscripts, reading or hearing them still remains a challenge for both the author and the reader.
Meanwhile, modern authors, although less famous than the classics, can tell no less, and due to the natural tendencies of enlightenment for societies, perhaps even more than the poets of antiquity or the Middle Ages. And, it is reasonable to assume that soon contemporary art will reach a new peak of popularity and demand, as a logical reaction of society to move forward. In addition, the relevance of many topics that are reflected in the works of modern authors (such as ecology, charity, etc.) are much more important for the present and the future than abstract or hypertrophied themes of the past.
So what will be tomorrow’s day?
The most logical answer to this question will be the choice of a new trend in art. In a world of abundance of options and possibilities, known to be overcrowded for one human life, only choice can be a justified and logical decision to move forward.
Why move forward and is it necessary?
In addition to popular statements about the benefits for humanity, the new is extremely important in the personal creativity of the authors, as it allows new talents to be revealed, which in the shadow of the classics are simply not able to manifest themselves (it would be rather strange, for example, to declare a talent, literally rewriting Pushkin’s poems or copying paintings Van Gogh). And in this case, just a new trend in art will create a friendly environment for new authors, both for the purpose of their dialogue and for the presentation of creativity.
But how to decide to create a new trend and who should be for this?
From history, we can notice that the overwhelming majority of trends in art and related philosophies were created by contemporaries in violation of the established canons, often in a very aggressive and non-standard form. It is no secret that the authors of such innovations later became known and accepted precisely because of their decision to start a new one. (**Detailed analysis requires a separate article).
What generally pushes you to create something new in art?
Modernity itself. Dynamics, new personalities, new ideas, reality challenges and the needs of their display, the level of technology, people’s thinking, searching for answers to exciting questions.
Each new author is, in its own way, a new and unique unit, which is created by society and humanity as a whole with imperceptible movements and unconscious efforts, as a result, the resulting personality is a product that is created for tomorrow.
And what are all these new authors doing (writers and poets, sculptors and painters)?
They are faced with a stream of information and make choices. Choose themes, ideas, tools, etc. Therefore, the philosophy of their work should be based on choice. The need for a word that everyone understands and, nevertheless, clearly reflects the essence of the idea. And since this philosophy will be based on “choice” then it can be called Choism.
How to avoid chaos when choosing?
The role of choice in a future replete with options, rules, rule violations and alternatives with alternatives violation and rule reversal is obvious. Although, a complete renunciation of the past will deprive us of the possibility of preliminary analysis, elementary forecasting and the ability to avoid old mistakes. But it should also not be allowed that this experience, information or rules limit art in its development.
So will such a course be natural or forced?
Now everything is possible, but the choice will rather give more chances for art, as an experience that is transmitted genetically from generation to generation by all forms of life. We will encounter unfamiliar art in art, and recall old techniques and tools, see stagnation and crisis of ideas and invent new things.
So how do you deal with so many introductory and contradictions?
The answer is simple – choose. Choose the past, choose the future, choose their interaction and cooperation within the same trend and one philosophy. The art of the future is the art of choice.
Now we are standing at the dawn of something truly new, although it would be unfair to say that this is happening for the first time (impressionism, futurism, expressionism, realism, etc.), humanity faced the new and experienced it, partially retaining in memory or completely forgetting… But for the contemporaries of each new phenomenon, it was important and beautiful, like life itself, which every living person enjoys in the first person.
We can turn to personalities of the past, fantasize about the future, envy contemporaries or, on the contrary, brag to them, suffer and rejoice, but we all do this, pairing every emotion and feeling with ourselves and the choice for ourselves. Our thoughts traveled, but the body remained motionless in the present every second.
Also with art. For something new to happen, it must be born and live, and this will be important, first of all, for us, as it will be a part of ourselves. And in such realities, the most logical decision would be to choose choism as a new trend in art.
