Art Heals by Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo in collaboration with ARTISTA DE COLORES by Marlene Ayen Galit presents our Participating Artist for our “A Symphony of Color and Words” International Exhibition: Alessio Camardo, Artist, from Italy! Thank you for joining us. Exhibit runs from December 19, 2024 to January 5, 2025 to be held at the Dragon’s Castle, Alhambra Kingdom in Mother’s Wonderland in Tayabas, Quezon, Philippines.
Artist/Poet BIO: Nino Camardo, a renowned Italian artist, emigrated at 13 in search of a better life, driven by his dreams and artistic aspirations. In the 1970s, he gained recognition in the world of naive painting, participating in major events and personal exhibitions both in Italy and internationally. Described as the first Italian naive artist to gain worldwide fame, Camardo received numerous awards, including national and international accolades, a silver medal from the Italian President, and honorary titles like Honorary Academician of the Vatican State. His work was featured in prestigious venues such as the Getty Museum, and he was recognized in various languages on Wikipedia. Camardo was among the first to export his art globally, with exhibitions in cities like New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. In Italy, he showcased his work at major cultural institutions, including the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. He formed friendships with iconic figures from the art, entertainment, and music worlds, including Picasso, Dalí, and singers like Mina and Riccardo Cocciante.
