“In search of a choice. Question five” by Alexander Kabishev

Soon authorship in music will become unnecessary. They will — like Americans now – simply indicate the name of the company that provides the composition.

And what are all these new authors (writers and poets, sculptors and artists) doing?

All authors: writers, poets, and artists, first of all, create. Finished works, sketches, projects or even just ideas.

Why is this happening, what is pushing them to do this? – these are questions for a separate article, but if we generalize, for a person (as to a lesser extent for other beings), dynamism is characteristic, which is expressed through the transformation of the world around us.

Let’s take a closer look at this by going on a little trip through time, first into the past.

The history of art begins with primitive times, when the first authors picked up coals and began to draw the simplest images reflecting their world. Centuries passed, art developed, new tools, techniques and techniques appeared. The authors also changed. And each author brought something new, their legacy accumulated, the number of followers grew more and more, as if following the principle of a snowball, it became more and more difficult to stand out, but each new author sought to assert himself even more, conflicting with society and the canons of art, found his admirer (reader or viewer), gained authority, became known and already dictated the instillation of art. As a result, society accepted this new trend of art and even that which, it would seem, would already be difficult to call art.

As a result, all paths have been explored, all ideas have been tried, there are rules at the same time, but there is also their complete absence, conservative authors and futurist authors find themselves in equal positions.

That’s how we got to the present. What do we see? Contemporary art is in crisis and often contradicts itself, and as a result of all this confusion, it sometimes becomes impossible even for experts and specialists to understand what is happening, and, as a result, both art and literature become more widespread and simple.

Here, as some kind of reaction to the needs of society, pop surrealism (or neo-alternative styles in less popular professional and academic circles) appears, which literally replaces art, only presenting a product – brand, its advertising, a typical story, etc.

It’s over, such a present may seem very depressing or even hopeless, but in fact, this is just another natural stage designed to give birth to something new.

In fact, compared to the Middle Ages and even more primitive times, people (authors, viewers, readers) are beginning to get in touch with more and more information resources and knowledge, gradually learn, get carried away and feel the need for something new. But tomorrow comes and it becomes not enough for all of them that pop surrealism (or neo-alternative styles) can give, the offer for each individual becomes too broad for him to cover it for his whole life. And then he is forced by trial and error to learn to choose, if of course he plans to move on, and not just sit still.

Let’s continue our journey through time and now go to the future. How will the role of the author change in it? What will need to be done?

The authors of tomorrow will face even greater amounts of information, perhaps a different structure of society, a worldview, but there will also be something unchanged from primitive times – this is the need and thirst for movement and creation that unite the authors of all ages.

They will not give up, but with a new layer of knowledge and the skill of choice, they will start a new movement – a new trend in art!

It is difficult to foresee all possible scenarios of tomorrow, but let’s not forget that there is such a special sphere of life as creativity, which in this case is synonymous with the word work – making efforts on oneself, the ability to set a goal and achieve it, to learn and teach others. It may seem that this is more true for other spheres of life – for example, business or career, but all creativity is more personal and socially unrelated. You may not get a post or make a good deal, but it is in your power to write a book or a picture, because in this case only laziness or inability to manage your time can act as an obstacle.

This is also true for the less visible followers of the author – viewers and readers. They will also get into this tomorrow of art only through choice, and perhaps more deeply and devotedly than ever before, following the new author, the world of his works. And indeed, now they are ready, they have a lot of knowledge and examples, and will be able to start a new movement if a worthy and interesting person (the author) appears on their way, who is sometimes able to give not so much futuristic as they need, because this work, the work will be presented in a new way, under the influence of a new wind, a new ideology and a system – choice!

It turns out that both authors and readers will travel through art inspired by the ideas of Choism. But how not to make a mistake in the choice and how not to allow chaos in the choice and thereby not repeat the mistakes of modern art? We will consider the answer to this question in the next article.
