Loudly Silent Voices

So loud their voices are
Why am I the only one hearing them?
Who else hears them?
Is there anyone, anybody hearing the beating of their drums?
They’re loud yet so silent
Their message clear but I can’t see them
For years on end they’ve been speaking
As years goes by louder the voices are
Who else hears them?
Somebody, anybody
Please say you hear them too
The beating of their drums
Can you hear it too?
As they stamp their feet
Can you too hear the rhythm of their footsteps?
So many of them speaking all at ones
But why is it my voice I hear?
Is it me?
But how is it me when their words are parabolic?
Mysterious, even I the listener have never heard the words they utter
But why is it my voice?
So many voices
So loud yet silent
All speaking sounding like me
You loudly silent voices
Show your face
Is it true what you say?
That I’m destined for greatness?
Are you in my head or are you real?
Who else hears them?
Somebody, anybody
Please say you hear them too

Salvation
That’s the gift I received
From a church that feels more like home
We share more than the word
For at my church
Visitors are treated like royalty
Showered with love and kindness

Where else would I go to
If not a church that supports my gift
Poetry
A place of Gods presence
For my soul and spirit is at peace

Peace
Peace be still
Because at Christian Revival Center
Peace is what we practice

A church of growth
Where you get pruned holistically
Challenged mentally
Encouraged to better yourself

A church
Where
Being yourself
Is the only way
To be
For when
You are yourself
Truly
Shall you reap the rewards
Of Salvation

A church of those who revive
We walk freely with no fear
Of favor nor intimidation
For we are anointed
To lead even outside the gates of the church

A church of testimonies
A church of excellence
A church of substance
A church of liberation

A church where
True gospel is taught
By leaders and teachers of the word
Who have found
Refuge in God.

My Heart Bleeds

Somebody call me a doctor
For my heart bleeds
For all the dreams buried
Gifts and talents cremated
We’re left with a paper
Imposed on us
A paper filled with ink
That has darkened our identity
The gifts and talents
That runs through our veins
Runs no more
We’re forced to follow set rules
While rules of nature are mocked

My heart bleeds
For all those
Whom are forced to disregard
Their purposes
All in the name of surviving

Some of us are not born to be taught
For we came bearing with us messages That aught to be passed
However we can’t
Because they want to teach us, us

My heart bleeds
For all those who had their kites taken from them
By their parents, teachers, guardians
For they said, “they too held the kites”
Yet they never flew them
Because they had to follow
The set rules
Therefore
They pass on their traumatic experiences to us

Let us live
As per our purpose
Set artists free
Please
From bondage
Let them loose
