Neelam Saxena is so well published that her books come out almost every 2-3 months. I am lucky to have read a few of them. What struck me right at the onset was the title “The Lost Mint Taste” which was very interesting and aroused my curiosity. I am sure that it will arouse the curiosity of everyone who comes across it.

The next fantastic thing was the cover page, which is designed by a twelve year artist, Tavishi Saxena. Finding talents and using their creations is Neelam’s strength and she managed to do it with this book too. Tavishi is indeed very talented and has a bright future.

The book is edited by Raksha Hegde and published by Authorspress who has done a great job.

“The lost mint taste” is a poetry collection having 50 poems in English on different topics from different walks of life. As the name suggests, in many poems, the poet revisits her childhood and pens down those memories. Many poems are about family for eg father, mom, daughter etc. Few poems are on nature, separation, departure, many on eternal love of Radha & Krishna and many more.

Every poem is so soulful, heart touching and does connect very well with the readers. The language is simple, free flowing and packed with emotions. I liked every poem of this book but few of them which touched me a lot are “Madness”, “To you daughter” and “The Unveiled Madhumalti”. These poems show how sensitive the poet is and how well she is aware and concerned about her surroundings.

I highly recommend this book to all poetry lovers / readers and wish Neelam all the very best for great success.
