Ο Daniel Verstraete συμμετέχει στην ομαδική εικαστική έκθεση «O Μίτος της Αριάδνης»

Το Chicago Athenoeum Museum for Architecture and Design και το European Centre for Architecture, Art Design and Urban Studios σε συνεργασία με την επιμελήτρια Μαρίνα Γκόντα Ιστορικό Τέχνης Διδάκτωρ Σορβόνης https://www.facebook.com/marina.gonta.33 παρουσιάζουν την εικαστική έκθεση με τίτλο «Ο μίτος της Αριάδνης» και σας προσκαλούν να την επισκεφτείτε.

Στην έκθεση αναφέρει η Μαρίνα Γκόντα, επιμελήτρια της έκθεσης: «Παρουσιάζεται μια ομάδα Εικαστικών που εκφράζουν, συνομιλούν, αποδίδουν στη χρωματική παλέτα τους, στοχεύοντας στην αναπαράσταση ενός μεγάλου μέρους του μυστηρίου της ύπαρξής μας, της ζωής.
Από την Αριάδνη του άλλοτε, στη γυναίκα της σύγχρονης εποχής που μάχεται, προσπαθεί να βρει ένα φως στο τούνελ, να βοηθήσει τους αγαπημένους της και τον ίδιο τον εαυτό. Οπλισμένη με αποφασιστικότητα απομακρύνει κάθε κίνδυνο και πτώση σε έναν αγώνα δρόμου που άλλοτε είναι μακρύς, δύσκολος, βασανιστικός και ενίοτε γεμάτος τέρψεις, χαρές, επιτυχίες και εκπλήξεις. Παγιδευόμαστε και γινόμαστε έρμαια των υλιστικών απολαύσεων και διεισδύουμε όλο και βαθύτερα σε έναν ατέρμονα Λαβύρινθο με αποτέλεσμα να χρειάζεται θάρρος, σθένος και μεγαλείο ψυχής ώστε να αντιμετωπισθεί ο Σύγχρονος Μινώταυρος.
Περιπλανιόμαστε και τριγυρνάμε σε γνώριμα και οικεία μέρη, στις γειτονιές μας και στα αγαπημένα μας σοκάκια με αγαλλίαση ψυχής και γαλήνης απομακρύνοντας φοβίες και ανασφάλειες. Η Αριάδνη, ο Μίτος, η Ιέρεια οι τελετές για την άφιξη, η υποδοχή κάθε εποχής δεν ήταν μύθος. Είναι η ιστορία που μας ακολουθεί στην σύγχρονη εποχή μας και σε ένα κόσμο σε πλήρη κίνηση και ως επί το πλείστον με επιφανειακές ανησυχίες.
Μέσα από την έκθεση ο θεατής ξετυλίγει το Μίτο του δικού του μονοπατιού, το δικό του κουβάρι που θα τον οδηγήσει σε ένα άπλετο φως, στην ίδια του την ύπαρξη και στις ουσιαστικές απολαύσεις της ζωής.
Η ευρηματικότητα, η Τέχνη και ο πολιτισμός μας βοηθούν να βρούμε αυτή την έξοδο από τον Λαβύρινθο και να ανακαλύψουμε της δικιά μας Αριάδνη του αέναου Μίτου».

Σύμφωνα με την συγγραφέα Αριάδνη Γερούκη: Υπάρχει πάντα ένας άλλος τρόπος να ζούμε όχι στον αφρό των ημερών αλλά στο βάθος της ύπαρξης εκεί που τα νερά είναι πάντα ήσυχα.

Ποιο ήταν το έναυσμα για την συμμετοχή σας στην έκθεση με θέμα ο “Μίτος της Αριάδνης”; Depuis 12 années maintenant, je taille, je déchire, je façonne, je caresse mes blocs de marbre de Paros face au rivage de NAXOS sur lequel, l’esprit et l’âme remplis de récits mythologiques, je crois voir Ariane, abandonnée, se jeter dans les flots, emportée par le désespoir. Alors, par un mystérieux processus de création, je fais surgir du marbre blanc de cette île bénie des dieux un bestiaire  imaginaire, qui laisse à chacun son pouvoir d’imaginer, en respectant le concept « figuratif….. relatif » qui préside à mon travail. Ainsi, surgit des flots où repose le corps d’Ariane un être marin polymorphe, conçu dans le marbre, aujourd’hui fondu dans le bronze. Il avait, je crois, sa place dans cette exposition inspirée par le mythe d’Ariane.

For 12 years now, I have been cutting, tearing, shaping, caressing my blocks of marble from Paros facing the shore of NAXOS on which, mind and soul filled with mythological stories, I think I see Ariane, abandoned, thrown into the waves, carried away by despair. So, through a mysterious process of creation, I bring forth from the white marble of this island blessed by the gods an imaginary bestiary, which leaves everyone their power to imagine, respecting the “figurative…relative” concept that presides over my work. Thus, emerges from the waves where Ariane’s body rests a polymorphic marine being, conceived in marble, now cast in bronze. It had, I believe, its place in this exhibition inspired by the myth of Ariadne.

Ποια είναι η ουσιαστική και αλληγορική εξήγηση του Μίτου της Αριάδνης στη σύγχρονη εποχή; Ariane donnant à Thésée le fil, aujourd’hui, c’est transmettre le savoir, c’est donner les moyens de sortir du monde infernal symbolisé par le labyrinthe, c’est donner à l’ignorant, à celui qui n’est pas initié, les moyens d’accéder à la connaissance en évitant de s’égarer dans le labyrinthe des mauvaises pistes.

Ariane giving Thésée the wire, today, it is to transmit knowledge, it is to give the means to leave the infernal world symbolized by the labyrinth, it is to give to the ignorant, to those who are not insider, the means of accessing knowledge while avoiding getting lost in the maze of bad leads.

Ποιο είναι το απόγειο της μελλοντικής  στόχευσης των δημιουργιών σας; Grâce au marbre blanc de Paros, je retrouve des formes qui puisent leurs origines au plus profond de notre civilisation, qui permettent à chacun d’en faire sa propre interprétation, formes apparemment figuratives mais tellement relatives qui laissent son entière liberté à celui qui les contemple.

Thanks to the white marble of Paros, I find forms that have their origins in the depths of our civilization, which allow everyone to make their own interpretation, apparently figurative forms but so relative that leave complete freedom to whoever contemplates them.

Πιστεύετε ότι η Δυναμική του σύγχρονου ρεύματος των Ελλήνων καλλιτεχνών θα αφήσει και αυτή το στίγμα της; La Grèce est éternelle, les artistes grecs ont marqué d’un sceau indélébile notre civilisation depuis deux millénaires et, quelles que soient les turbulences qui agitent notre monde, ils continueront à aider notre monde à vivre.

BIOGRAPHIE: Daniel VERSTRAETE dit « DANVER » (1.10.1945), artiste autodidacte, expose son travail depuis 2010.

Sculpteur, il pratique la sculpture en taille directe exclusivement sur des blocs de marbre de l’Ile de Paros (Cyclades – Grèce) dans son atelier situé sur l’île et il crée des formes qui composent un étrange bestiaire imaginaire puissant et tire de certains de ces blocs de marbre des bronzes dont les patines exaltent le travail de la matière.

Il est président d’un collectif de peintres français, « l’Atelier du Lundi », créé à Grasse/Cannes (Côte d’Azur ) il y a 40 ans. Il a participé à de très nombreuses expositions depuis 2010, et notamment en France à Grasse, Cannes, Paris (galerie Terre des Arts de 2011 à 2019), Antibes, Mougins, Toulouse, au Luxembourg, à Athènes (galerie Art Appel en 2019), Paros (Studio 265 en 2019) et à Monaco en 2022 : Ses œuvres sont présentes dans des collections privées en France, au Luxembourg, en Espagne en Suisse et en Grèce.

BIOGRAPHY: Daniel VERSTRAETE known as “DANVER” (1.10.1945), self-taught artist, exhibits his work since 2010. Sculptor, he practices direct carving exclusively on blocks of marble from the island of Paros (Cyclades – Greece) in his workshop located on the island and creates shapes that make up a strange powerful imaginary bestiary and draws bronzes from some of these blocks of marble whose patinas exalt the work of the material.

He is president of a French artists’group, “l’Atelier du Lundi”, created in Grasse /Cannes (Côte d’Azur) 40 years ago. He has participated in numerous exhibitions since 2010, particularly in France in Grasse, Cannes, Paris (Terre des Arts gallery from 2011 to 2019), Antibes, Mougins, Toulouse, Luxembourg, Athens (Art Appel gallery / 2019) , Paros (studio 265 / 2019) and in Monaco / 2022: His works are present in private collections in France, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland and Greece. » Dit j’avais laissé un message

Σύντομο bio: Γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στα Ιωάννινα. Είναι Πτυχιούχος Γαλλικής Φιλολογίας με μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές και διδακτορικό στην Ιστορία της Τέχνης στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Σορβόννης. Διαθέτει πιστοποίηση μετάφρασης και διερμηνείας από το Rectorat de Marseille. Δίδαξε την γαλλική γλώσσα και την Ιστορία της Τέχνης στην δευτεροβάθμια και τριτοβάθμια εκπαίδευση αντίστοιχα. Μιλάει γαλλικά, ιταλικά, ισπανικά και λίγα γερμανικά και αγγλικά. Συνεργάστηκε με αντιπροσωπεία της Γαλλικής Ευρωβουλής στο πρόγραμμα: “jachere”. Είναι μέλος της UNESCO, του ICOMOS, των Ελληνικών Γραμμάτων και επιστημονικός συνεργάτης της “Μεταμόρφωσης” που έχει ως σκοπό να αναδείξει τα ευγενή συναισθήματα που πηγάζουν από την Τέχνη και τον Πολιτισμό και έχει κάνει προσπάθειες να καθιερωθεί η 23 Οκτωβρίου, ως ημέρα Σεβασμού προς τον συνάνθρωπο. Έχει επίσης συνεργαστεί με πλήθος αναγνωρισμένων Εικαστικών σε Ελλάδα και εξωτερικό και έχει επιμεληθεί πολύ σημαντικών εκθέσεων με έργα που προάγουν τις Ελληνικές Αξίες του Πολιτισμού μας. She was born and raised in Ioannina.

She holds a Masters Degree in French Literature and a PhD in Art History from the University of Sorbonne. She holds a translation and interpretation certification from the Rectorat de Marseille. She taught French and Art History at the secondary level and higher education respectively. She speaks French, Italian, Spanish and a little German and English. She has worked with a delegation from the French Parliament in the program: “jachere”. She is a member of UNESCO, ICOMOS, GREEK LETTERS and scientific associate of “Transformation”, which aims to promote noble emotions arising from the Art and Culture and has made efforts to establish October 23 as a Day of Respect to the fellow-being. She has also collaborated with a number of recognized Artists in Greece as well as abroad and has edited very important exhibitions with works of art that promote the Greek Values of our Culture.
