The U.S. Embassy in Athens and Delphi Economic Forum present the Partners in Democracy initiative

Including the Partners in Democracy Symposium and the traveling exhibition A More Perfect Union: American Artists and the Currents of Our Time

We’re at a critical crossroads of history, at the forefront of the struggle between authoritarian powers and democracy. The actions we take today will determine the future of our world tomorrow. What kind of world do we wish to live in?

The U.S. Embassy in Athens and the Delphi Economic Forum, in collaboration with Art in Embassies present the Partners in Democracy initiative, on May 24 and 25, in Athens.

The initiative will convene emerging leaders, representatives of civil society, and prominent experts from Greece, the United States, and around the world to discuss how we can work together to safeguard democracy and promote diversity and inclusion in our societies.

The U.S. Embassy in Athens and the Delphi Economic Forum will hold the Partners in Democracy Symposium at the National Gallery on May 25. The Symposium brings together a diverse array of voices to address current challenges democracies face, including social inequalities, disinformation, and the rise of authoritarianism. Participants will also explore what art can do for democracy, how cities can act as platforms of inclusion, and how we can preserve and invigorate democracies for future generations.
