Ma Yongbo was born in Yichun, Heilongjiang in 1964 and holds a Ph.D. degree. He has published over seventy original works and translations since 1986. Currently, he is a professor at the Faculty of Arts and Literature at Nanjing University of Science and Technology. He is also a leading scholar in Anglo-American postmodernist poetry, with his studies focused on modern poetics, post-modern literature, eco-criticism.
